The Science Behind Our Emotions
Marc is the author of the bestselling book Permission to Feel, translated into 27 languages, and Dealing with Feeling: Use Your Emotions to Create the Life You Want. His research explores the role of emotional intelligence in decision-making, creativity, relationships, well-being, and workplace performance.
He is also the lead developer of RULER, an evidence-based approach to social and emotional learning adopted by more than 5,000 schools worldwide. His work extends into the workplace through consulting with companies including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft, and through Oji Life Lab, the corporate learning firm he co-founded.
At the heart of his approach is curiosity: learning to recognize and understand emotions so we can respond thoughtfully to ourselves and others.
